Peaches are delicious and juicy fruits which are native to the region of Northwest China between the Tarim Basin and the north slopes of the Kunlun Mountains where it is cultivated and domesticated for the first time. It belongs to the genus Prunus same as plum and cherries, in the rose family.

China is one of the largest producers and exporters of peach. The Chinese associate peaches with long-life and immortality. They are available in different sizes. The color of peaches ranges from yellow to red, depending on the origin of the country. Peaches are stone fruits whose outer flesh is surrounded by a shell, which encloses an edible seed.
