Milk Allergy and Lactose Intolerance Symptoms, Causes and Diagnosis

Milk allergy is a type of food allergy that is caused by an allergic reaction of the protein present in the milk. On the other hand lactose, intolerance is caused by a lack of lactose enzyme, which is necessary to break down lactose and other dairy products in the stomach. Milk allergies are mainly associated with early age, which is especially due to milk dependence on children as their primary food. This can be seen from children from an infant. Lactose intolerance is a common health concern that can happen to people of any age and take a very long time to complete development.

Causes of milk allergy

Milk allergy is a common form of food allergy that occurs most often in children and some adults also have this type of allergy. As this name becomes a victim of allergy, it suggests that after a few hours of using milk or any other dairy product.

These types of allergies are mainly associated with cow's milk; however, people who receive allergic symptoms with cow milk are present in large quantities, they all also receive allergic symptoms such as goat, buffalo milk, cow's milk allergy get an allergic reaction to soy milk as well but this is not very common.

The cause or reason for developing milk allergy is the immune system malfunctioning. This means your immune system recognizes some milk proteins as inappropriate or harmful to you.
