An infection with the Epstein barr virus. Mono is often called glandular fever or kissing diseases. It is transmitted through direct contact with the infected person or other bodily fluids, such as blood. You can contract it with someone, kissing, sexual contact, or through foods and drinks.
It is a virus that is found in children. But at that age, it usually does not produce light or any symptoms, and the infection often becomes unfamiliar.
The symptoms of Mono are:-
- Extreme tiredness
- High fever
- Body aches and muscle weakness
- Sore throat
- Swollen glands in underarms or neck
- Enlarged spleen
Treatment of mono disease
You have to wait till its Recover. So stay relaxed and hydrated and if it is unmanageable then you can take the pain killer. This will help to prevent infection. It usually takes one or two months for the infection to go. Some other Treatment for mono like Salt and water gargles for sore throat, Rest, Avoiding sports, Pain relievers and fever reducer’s medicine like ibuprofen or acetaminophen etc.
